What happens at Youth Alpha?
Each session of Youth Alpha has four main elements - food, fun, a short presentation, and discussion in small groups.
At each session, one of the team will give a short presentation on a different aspect of the Christian faith (covering topics such as ‘Who Is Jesus?’ ‘Why and How Do I Pray?’, and ‘What about the Church?’ among others).
Following the presentation, there will be discussion time in small groups. Here, the groups are encouraged to be completely honest, say exactly how they feel about what has been said and debate the topics together. All opinions are considered valid, and there is no pressure to think or act in a particular way.
It is worth mentioning that no session is mandatory, and guests are welcome to leave the course at any point. The course provides an opportunity for anyone, regardless of background, to make an informed choice for themselves.
